Parents in Community Action funding provided, and money appropriated.

HF 3020 appropriates $924,000 from the general fund for fiscal year 2026 to provide a one-time grant to Parents in Community Action, Inc. (PICA). The funds are designated specifically for PICA to acquire and install fire sprinkler systems at its child care facilities. This will help PICA meet fire safety regulations required to expand its infant child care services. The appropriation is limited to PICA and does not apply to other organizations or future fiscal years.
