Restoration for All grant funding provided, and money appropriated.

HF 2763 appropriates $4.9 million from Minnesota's general fund for a one-time grant to Restoration for All (REFA), a nonprofit, to build a multipurpose community center. The funding will support REFA and its partner Equitable Development Action (EDA) in acquiring property, designing, and constructing a facility focused on culturally relevant mental health services and suicide prevention for Minnesota's African immigrant refugee communities. The center will also address comprehensive wellness needs for the elderly and underrepresented students in higher education, while supporting providers of assisted living services and care under Minnesota Statutes, chapter 245D. The grant is available until the project is completed or abandoned.
