George Stoppel historic site rehabilitation and History Center of Olmsted County capital improvements funding provided, and money appropriated.

HF 1952 appropriates $3 million from the state general fund for historic preservation in Olmsted County. Specifically, $850,000 funds rehabilitation of the National Register-listed George Stoppel stone house and barn, plus an accessible pathway, while $2.15 million covers design and construction for renovations at the History Center of Olmsted County. All work must follow U.S. Secretary of the Interior historic preservation standards. The one-time funding is allocated to the Olmsted County Historical Society, which owns both properties, and remains available until projects are completed.
