HF 1064 provides $14.9 million in state funding for Wayzata's downtown lakefront restoration project. The bill appropriates money from state bonds to fund the final phase of improvements, including building an eco park, restoring historic sites like the Section Foreman House and Wayzata Depot, repairing Lake Minnetonka's shoreline, upgrading Wayzata Beach and Klapprich Park, and designing new public safety facilities. The funds will be used by the city of Wayzata to acquire property, design, and construct these projects. This is an additional appropriation beyond a 2020 funding allocation for the same project. The state will issue bonds to cover the cost, following standard bond procedures.
