California Conservation Corps: Green Collar Certification Program.
What changed between versions
Removed subdivision (j) which authorized culinary training or experience for corpsmembers engaged in other corps activities. This narrows the range of permissible corps activities.
Removed the requirement for the director to create a separate advisory board to identify emerging workforce needs. The function of identifying workforce needs is now embedded within the existing collaboration requirement in subdivision (d).
Added a requirement that the director shall collaborate with certified community conservation corps in the development of program guidelines, giving those corps a formal role in shaping how the Green Collar Certification Program operates.
Changed 'sustainable climate infrastructure' to 'sustainable nature-based solutions' in the list of permissible corps activities, narrowing and clarifying the environmental focus of that category.
Replaced 'young persons participating in the corps' with 'corpsmembers participating in the corps' in Section 14307.5(a), and removed the phrase 'relating to' before 'including, but not limited to,' making the language more precise.
