International trade: tariffs: impact study.
What changed between versions
The urgency statute declaration (former Section 3) was removed. The bill will now take effect on July 1, 2025 (the standard effective date) rather than immediately upon the Governor's signature.
The short title was changed from 'relating to international trade, and declaring the urgency thereof, to take effect immediately' to simply 'relating to international trade,' reflecting the removal of the urgency provision.
Legislative finding (a) about providing 'additional funding' to the Transportation Agency, Department of Finance, and GO-Biz was removed from the enrolled version. The remaining findings were renumbered.
The enrolled version consolidates the bill into a single clean text using only the GO-Biz-led version with the January 1, 2029 deadline and January 1, 2031 repeal date, removing the earlier Transportation Agency-led draft language that had been carried in the amended assembly version.
