In Section 234.5(a)(1), the word 'or' was removed before 'ethnicity' in two places, changing the list from 'race, or ethnicity, sexual orientation' to 'race, ethnicity, sexual orientation.' This is a grammatical fix to the enumeration of protected characteristics.

In Section 215.5(a)(1) through (3), the phrase 'or a private school, that serves pupils' was changed to 'or a private school, school that serves pupils,' which appears to be an inadvertent duplication of the word 'school' introduced during amendment.

The legislative counsel's digest was revised to explicitly state that the Trevor Project hotline requirement applies to 'public schools that serve pupils in any of grades 7 to 12, inclusive, and public or private institutions of higher education' rather than using the vaguer phrase 'above-referenced schools and institutions.' The underlying statutory text already specified these entities, so this is a clarification for consistency.
