California Youth Football Act: safety equipment.

Removed the redundant word 'soft-shelled' before 'soft-shell add-ons' in both the digest and Section 124241.2(a)(1), correcting a drafting error where the phrase read 'soft-shelled soft-shell add-ons.'

Changed 'violation or threatened violation of this section' to 'violation or threatened violation of this subdivision' in Section 124241.2(a)(2), correctly narrowing the injunctive relief provision to apply only to violations of subdivision (a) rather than the entire section.

Standard enrollment formatting changes: removed line numbers, amendment headers, coauthor listings, and added passage dates (Assembly August 26, Senate August 24), clerk signatures, and governor approval block.

New subdivision (b) prohibits voiding a warranty or safety certification of a football helmet put into play on or after January 1, 2027, with a soft-shell add-on unless the add-on substantially damages the helmet AND the helmet had a current manufacturer certification immediately before the damage. This is the most significant policy change in the amendment.

A new Section 1 states the Legislature's intent to ensure youth football organizations continue to have access to commercially available and reconditioned helmets, and that attaching a soft-shell add-on does not by itself result in loss of an otherwise applicable manufacturer warranty or certification designation.

The original single section was renumbered as Section 2, and its subdivisions (a), (b), (c) were restructured into paragraphs (1), (2), (3) under subdivision (a) to make room for the new warranty provision as subdivision (b).

Senator Weber Pierson was added as a coauthor, reflecting Senate sponsorship of the amendment.

Minor wording correction throughout: 'soft-shelled add-ons' changed to 'soft-shell add-ons' for consistency.

New subdivision (c) provides that a prevailing plaintiff who obtains any remedy under subdivision (b) (temporary restraining order, preliminary injunction, or permanent injunction) is entitled to an award of reasonable attorney's fees and costs.

Minor capitalization fix in subdivision (b): 'a court' changed to 'A court' at the start of the sentence.
