Community colleges: artificial intelligence: pilot program.

Changed the unit of participation from 'community college districts' to 'community colleges' throughout the bill. This means up to 10 individual colleges (campuses) can participate rather than up to 10 districts, which could each operate multiple campuses. The change appears in the digest, Section 78026.2(B), Section 78026.2(c), and Section 78026.4(a).

Removed line numbers, added page headers and footers, removed 'as amended' from the digest title, and added standard enrolled bill formatting including approval date fields and governor signature block.

The pilot program commencement date was pushed back one year, from July 1, 2027 to July 1, 2028. The eligibility criteria deadline (June 30, 2027) and the legislative report deadline (January 1, 2032) remain unchanged.

Two additional coauthors were added: Assembly Members Petrie-Norris and Michelle Rodriguez, joining Sharp-Collins.

Implementation commencement date changed from July 1, 2027 to July 1, 2028, a one-year delay.

The sunset/repeal date was filled in as January 1, 2033 (previously left blank).

The program was renamed from 'Artificial Intelligence Upskilling Creatives Pilot Program' to 'Future of Creative Industries Pilot Program,' removing explicit reference to AI upskilling from the title.

Assembly Member Sharp-Collins was added as a co-author of the bill.

Section 78026.2(a)(3) adds three explicit goals for the pilot program: (A) supporting creative industry workers displaced by generative AI through structured reskilling, (B) ensuring partnership with labor unions and industry representatives in curriculum design, and (C) establishing a replicable outcomes-driven model for other sectors facing AI-driven disruption.

The legislative report requirement was expanded to include a comprehensive list of certificates or degrees awarded to participants and job placement rates, in addition to the previously required participant counts disaggregated by demographics.

The sunset date for Article 1.7 was filled in as January 1, 2033 (previously left blank).

New definitions were added for both 'Artificial Intelligence Upskilling Creatives Pilot Program' and 'Future of Creative Industries Pilot Program' to clarify the relationship between the two program names within the merged structure.

All dental-related provisions were removed. The bill no longer repeals Section 1632.6 of the Business and Professions Code (inoperative portfolio examination review requirements for dentistry licensure).

A new legislative intent section (78026.1) was added, explicitly targeting workers in creative and entertainment industries (film, television, music, touring, live events) who have been or are at risk of being displaced by generative AI, including sound engineers, voice actors, concept artists, and entry-level employees.

The cap on participating districts changed from exactly 10 to 'up to 10' community college districts statewide.
