General plan: annual report: shelter beds.
What changed between versions
Added 'Beginning with the report due by April 1, 2028' directly into the operative text of paragraph (R), making the start date for homelessness data reporting explicit in the statute rather than only in the legislative digest.
Removed the 'Homeless shelters' category (which included facilities with overnight sleeping accommodations and safe parking lots) from the list of housing types that must be reported. The remaining categories are noncongregate shelter beds, transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, rapid rehousing, and other permanent housing.
Renamed 'Transitional or interim housing' to simply 'Transitional housing' and removed three sub-conditions (supportive services up to 24 months, exclusive designation for people experiencing homelessness, and ability-to-pay rent limits), leaving only the basic description of temporary lodging designed to facilitate movement into permanent housing within 24 months.
Simplified the 'Permanent supportive housing' definition by removing three sub-conditions (must be for people experiencing homelessness, no limit on length of stay, and must be linked to onsite or offsite services), leaving only the core description of permanent housing with supportive services for people with a disability.
