AB 1912 California Assembly · 2025-2026 Regular Session

Deer: archery season: concealed firearms.

Summary
Existing law establishes an archery season for the taking of deer with bow and arrow. Existing law generally prohibits a person taking or attempting to take deer during that archery season from carrying, or having under their immediate control, a firearm of any kind, except for an active or honorably retired peace officer, as specified. This bill would repeal that prohibition.

What changed between versions

MINOR
No substantive policy changes between these two versions. The diff reflects a change in document presentation only: the 'From' version is a clean, formatted chaptered legal document, while the 'To' version is a web-page rendering of the same bill text, complete with website navigation elements (menus, search bars, links). The actual legislative content - the amendment to Section 4370 of the Fish and Game Code repealing the firearm prohibition during deer archery season - is identical in both.
TECHNICAL

The document format changed from a formal chaptered legal text (with 'STATE OF CALIFORNIA / AUTHENTICATED / ELECTRONIC LEGAL MATERIAL' headers) to a web-scraped rendering that includes website navigation elements such as 'skip to content', 'home', 'accessibility', 'FAQ', 'feedback', 'sitemap', 'login', and various menu links. The underlying bill text is unchanged.
