Paragraphs (e)(2) and (e)(3) were cleaned up to remove duplicated language. The amended version contained both 'Information collected by the department and analyzed for patterns and trends pursuant to paragraph (1)' and 'Information relied on by the department for its analysis pursuant to paragraph (1)' in the same sentence; the enrolled version retains only the latter, cleaner phrasing.

Minor typos were corrected: 'including including, but not limited to to' became 'including, but not limited to,' and 'no later that than July 1, 2025' became 'no later than July 1, 2025.'

The document format changed from an amended bill (with line numbers, amendment history, and vote/appropriation lines) to an enrolled bill (with Assembly and Senate passage dates, Governor receipt line, and approval signature block).

New provisions (e)(2) and (e)(3) explicitly make the department's analyzed pattern and trend data available to eligible educational institutions and local/state government agencies, not just the raw collected data.

The access standard was changed from 'under guidelines' set forth by the Attorney General to 'under the conditions' set forth by the Attorney General, potentially giving the AG broader discretion over terms of access.

Any private nonprofit university in California is now eligible to request firearms data from the Department of Justice for academic and policy research purposes, joining the existing list of public universities, community colleges, local governments, and state agencies.

The amendment adds 'upon request' language to clarify that entities must formally request access, and adds 'format options' alongside 'guidelines' as things the Attorney General must set forth for data access.
