Statutory text of Section 13012.9 was reflowed with different line breaks but the substantive language is unchanged: it still requires the OpenJustice Web portal to include arrests for violations of Section 236.1 and the number of individuals reported as victims of human trafficking through the California Incident-Based Reporting System.

Section 13012.9 changed from requiring data on 'individuals who have been a victim of human trafficking' to 'individuals reported as a victim of human trafficking,' narrowing the scope to only those whose victim status is formally reported through the California Incident-Based Reporting System.

The legislative counsel's digest was corrected to remove a duplicated word ('trafficking. trafficking') and the phrase 'as amended' was removed from the bill title reference, consistent with the bill reaching final form.

Removed Section 18947 and Chapter 10.5 of the Welfare and Institutions Code, which would have required the State Department of Social Services to convene a Human Trafficking Task Force comprised of relevant stakeholders to develop best practices for assisting current and former victims of human trafficking, examine approaches to connect victims with public services, and identify gaps in service delivery.

The bill's stated purpose was narrowed from 'to add Chapter 10.5 (commencing with Section 18947) to Division 9 of the Welfare and Institutions Code, Section 13012.9 to the Penal Code' to simply 'to add Section 13012.9 to the Penal Code.'
