City of Long Beach: design-build process.

Existing law authorizes, until January 1, 2025, local agencies, as defined, to use the design-build contracting process for specified public works. This bill would authorize the City of Long Beach, upon approval of the city council of the City of Long Beach, to use the design-build contracting process for its contracts for curb ramps that are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, in accordance with specified procedural requirements and limits. The bill would make legislative findings and declarations as to the necessity of a special statute for the City of Long Beach. This bill would declare that it is to take effect immediately as an urgency statute.
