What changed between versions
New subsection (d) creates a civil penalty of $50,000 for agencies employing former federal officials who knowingly enforce federal firearm regulations on or after July 1, 2025.
New subsection (e)(i) exempts providing material aid to federal officers when pursuing suspects with a criminal nexus to another state or country who are not Wyoming citizens or not present in Wyoming.
New subsection (e)(ii) exempts providing material aid to federal prosecutors for felony violations involving controlled substances or weapons violations that are ancillary to such prosecutions.
Section 1-39-103(a)(ix) was modified to expand the definition of 'this act' to include W.S. 1-39-124, which was newly created.
Section 1-39-104(a) was modified to update the list of immunity provisions to include the newly created W.S. 1-39-124.
New subsection (c)(ii) was added to explicitly state that sovereign immunity is not an affirmative defense in actions brought to enforce this act.
