What changed between versions
Changed address verification frequency from every six months to every three months for offenders convicted of certain offenses listed in subsection (j), such as sexual abuse of minors under thirteen years old.
Updated subsection (h) to maintain six-month verification frequency for offenses involving victims aged fourteen and older, while subsection (j) now requires three-month verification for more serious offenses involving younger victims.
Added new offenses to subsection (j) that require more frequent verification, including violations of W.S. 6-2-201 when the victim was a minor, and various sexual abuse statutes when victims were under thirteen years of age.
Removed certain offenses from subsection (h) that previously required six-month verification, including W.S. 6-2-302, 6-2-303, and 6-2-304(a)(iii) when the victim was under fourteen years of age.
Added Section 2 clarifying that the act only applies to offenders convicted on and after the effective date, and Section 3 establishing July 1, 2025 as the effective date.
