Relating to National Guard Servicemember's Medical Readiness Act

This bill creates a West Virginia National Guard Servicemember's Medical Readiness Act to help state National Guard members cover TRICARE healthcare costs. It authorizes the state military department to reimburse eligible West Virginia National Guard members (who live in the state and have TRICARE Reserve Select or dental coverage) for individual premiums paid for their own TRICARE coverage. Reimbursement does not cover family coverage, and the state will not pay if federal or other state programs already cover the cost. The program requires separate state funding approval and takes effect on July 1, 2025.
