Adding Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation employees who work at institutions managed by the Commissioner to the Survivor Benefits Act

This bill adds West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation (DCR) employees working at correctional institutions to the state's Survivor Benefits Act. It expands eligibility to cover DCR staff who die while performing duties such as training, administrative meetings, inmate interactions, parole activities, or related travel. The benefit provides $100,000 to surviving family members, with coverage retroactive to March 14, 2020.
