County Office Amendments
What changed between versions
County officers in counties with populations under 8,000 are now required to have offices at the county seat, whereas previously all counties had this requirement.
County legislative bodies may now authorize elected county officers to maintain additional office space at locations within the county that are not at the county seat.
County legislative bodies may hold regular meetings at the county seat or at other locations within the county established by ordinance.
County surveyors must keep survey records at county government offices rather than specifically at the county seat, providing more flexibility for record-keeping locations.
Various technical and conforming changes were made to clarify language and ensure consistency across affected Utah Code sections.
