Relating to a prohibition on the offering for sale and the sale of cell-cultured protein for human consumption; providing civil and criminal penalties.

Prohibits offering for sale or sale of cell-cultured protein for human consumption within Texas.

Requires cell-cultured protein to be labeled in prominent type with qualifying terms such as 'cell-cultured,' 'lab-grown,' or similar disclaimers.

Repeals Section 431.0805(2) of the Health and Safety Code.

Adds definition of 'cell-cultured protein' as food derived from harvesting animal cells and artificially replicating them in a growth medium to produce tissue.

Amends existing definitions for egg, egg product, fish, meat, meat food product, poultry, and poultry product to exclude cell-cultured protein.

Establishes a temporary provision that expires on September 1, 2027, with the law taking effect on September 1, 2025.
