SB 2469 Texas Senate · 89th Legislature (2025)

Relating to the regulation of certain day-care centers.

This bill gives day-care centers, group day-care homes, and family homes the opportunity to immediately correct minor violations (that don’t endanger children) after an inspection, preventing those issues from being recorded in official reports. It requires the state commission to create a public registry tracking violations for which employees are found responsible, including the employee’s name, address, facility details, violation date, and description. Employees must receive written notice of violations with their right to request a 30-day hearing to challenge the finding, or the violation will be added to the registry if they don’t respond.
