Relating to the unauthorized entry, occupancy, sale, rental, lease, advertisement for sale, rental, or lease, or conveyance of real property, including the removal of certain unauthorized occupants of a dwelling; creating criminal offenses; increasing a criminal penalty; authorizing a fee.

Adjusted monetary thresholds for criminal penalties, such as changing the amount for Class C misdemeanor from less than $100 to less than $100, and modifying felony thresholds for property damage.

Added a new chapter (24B) to the Property Code that allows property owners to request immediate removal of unauthorized occupants by sheriff or constable through a sworn complaint.

Created new sections in the Penal Code (32.56 and 32.57) that criminalize presenting false documents for property conveyance and fraudulently selling or leasing residential property without legal title.

Modified eligibility criteria for property removal requests to exclude current or former tenants and immediate family members of the property owner.

Set the effective date of the Act as September 1, 2025, and clarified that offenses committed before this date are governed by the law in effect at the time of the offense.
