Added Subsections (a-1) and (a-2) to Section 1001.216 to establish advisory committee reporting and public record-keeping requirements.

Modified Section 1071.253 to update surveyor-in-training certificate requirements with revised education and experience combinations.

Modified Section 1071.254 to update registered professional land surveyor requirements with revised education and experience combinations.

Added new examination subsections to Section 1071.256 for fundamentals of surveying, principles and practice of surveying, and Texas-specific surveying examinations.

Repealed Section 1071.253(b) which contained outdated surveyor-in-training requirements.

Modified Section 1001.601(a) to clarify board advisory opinion procedures regarding chapter interpretations and applications to specific factual situations.

Added alternative education pathways for surveyor-in-training certification including high school graduates with four years of experience and self-educated applicants with evidence of competency.

Added effective date of September 1, 2025 and implementation requirements for the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
