Relating to discipline in public schools.

This bill amends Texas school discipline rules to increase transparency and promote non-punitive approaches for young students. It requires public school districts to post contact information for the staff member responsible for student discipline (either a campus behavior coordinator or designated administrator) on their websites. The bill also creates a new program for students in grades below three who engage in certain behaviors, mandating age-appropriate alternatives to suspensions - including positive behavior models, social-emotional learning, and restorative practices - instead of in-school or out-of-school suspensions. These changes apply to all Texas public school districts and affect teachers, administrators, and students in pre-K through second grade.
