MINOR
The bill was amended to add a new section about public hearings for tax rate adoption in certain water districts, while also updating the meeting place requirements for board meetings. The changes clarify that public hearings must be held either at designated locations or via conference call, and the meeting place requirements now reference the correct chapter of the Water Code.
Scope change
The bill's scope was expanded to include requirements for public hearings on tax rate adoption in addition to meeting place requirements for board meetings.
REQUIREMENT

Added a new section requiring public hearings for tax rate adoption to be held either at designated locations or via telephone/video conference call.

Updated meeting place requirements to reference Chapter 551 of the Government Code instead of Chapter 551, and clarified that at least one board member must be physically present during open portions of meetings held via conference call.

TECHNICAL

Corrected a reference from Section 49.064 to Section 49.062 in the meeting place requirements subsection.
