Added requirement for providers to document that they gave resource materials to pregnant women and new parents, and to retain this documentation for at least five years.

Added new informational topics to required resource materials, including pertussis vaccine information, cytomegalovirus risks, heatstroke dangers, and specific Medicaid benefit information.

Added new Section 32.0631 to the Human Resources Code requiring annual written notice to Medicaid providers about using newborns' Medicaid identification numbers before they are assigned their own numbers.

Established a December 1, 2025 deadline for the Department of State Health Services to update informational materials, and a January 1, 2026 effective date for new provider compliance requirements.
