Relating to the statewide intellectual and developmental disability coordinating council.

A new Statewide Intellectual and Developmental Disability Coordinating Council is established with defined composition, including representatives from state agencies, advocacy organizations, and individuals with disabilities or their family members.

The council must develop and submit a recurring five-year statewide strategic plan and monitor its implementation.

The council must annually publish an inventory of state-funded programs and services, including descriptions of how they advance the strategic plan and estimates of individuals waiting for services.

The council must prepare the initial strategic plan by March 1, 2027, and agencies must submit implementation plans within 90 days of receiving the strategic plan.

The council must annually identify and evaluate state and federal funding sources available to provide services for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

The council must facilitate opportunities to increase collaboration for the effective expenditure of federal and state funds for intellectual and developmental disability services.

The council's duties were expanded to include annual publication of program inventories, annual identification of funding sources, and facilitation of collaboration for effective fund expenditure, in addition to developing a strategic plan.

Council members must be designated or appointed by January 31, 2026, and the council must hold its initial meeting by March 1, 2026.
