Relating to the removal from office of certain officers of political subdivisions.

Added requirements that petitions for removal of certain officers must be addressed to the presiding judge of the administrative judicial region rather than the district judge.

Modified provisions to specify that the presiding judge of the administrative judicial region must assign a district court judge from a different judicial district to conduct removal proceedings.

Changed representation requirements so that the presiding judge must appoint a prosecuting attorney from another judicial district or county to represent the state in removal cases.

Repealed Sections 87.018(d) and (e) of the Local Government Code.

Changed the effective date provision to allow immediate effect if a two-thirds vote is received in each house, otherwise taking effect September 1, 2025.
