Relating to automatic orders of nondisclosure of criminal history record information for certain misdemeanor defendants following successful completion of a period of deferred adjudication community supervision.

Added a new effective date of January 1, 2028 for most provisions, with Section 5 taking effect September 1, 2025.

Added new subsection (e) to Section 411.072 allowing individuals to request a determination of eligibility for nondisclosure if they were not automatically notified.

Added new subsection (f) to Section 411.072 allowing individuals to present evidence to the court to establish eligibility for nondisclosure.

Added new subsection (g) to Section 411.072 eliminating any fees for individuals entitled to nondisclosure orders.

Modified Section 411.072(d) to clarify that courts must issue nondisclosure orders within 15 business days of receiving notice from the Department of Public Safety.

Added new Section 5 requiring the Office of Court Administration to confer with the Department of Public Safety regarding the content of electronic notices by September 1, 2027.
