Workers Compensation - As introduced, enacts the "Zero Estimated Exposure Policy Act." - Amends TCA Title 50, Chapter 6.

SB 1579, the "Zero Estimated Exposure Policy Act," creates a workers' compensation insurance policy for construction services providers who report having no employees and thus no workers' compensation liability. It requires these providers to give written notice to their contracting entities about the zero exposure and provide a copy of the policy, with entities retaining this documentation for three years (except for homeowners building or improving their primary residence). Providers must also sign a statement confirming no employees and zero exposure, with penalties for false claims under Tennessee law. The law takes effect on July 1, 2027.
