Municipal Government - As introduced, authorizes a tourism development authority to petition for deannexation of property owned by the authority. - Amends TCA Title 6, Chapter 51 and Title 7, Chapter 69.

HB 980 allows tourism development authorities in Tennessee to petition cities to remove their owned property from municipal boundaries. The authority must submit a map, and the city has 30 days to calculate any debt owed before deannexation takes effect 60 days later.
