Mental Illness - As introduced, lowers from one hour and 45 minutes to one hour and 30 minutes, the amount of time that the sheriff or transportation agent is required to remain at a hospital or treatment resource, which provides treatment for persons with mental illness or serious emotional disturbance, while a person transported to such facility by the sheriff or agent is evaluated for admission, after which the responsibility for the person turns over to the evaluating facility. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 8; Title 9, Chapter 8; Title 13, Chapter 26; Title 29, Chapter 20; Title 33; Title 37, Chapter 1; Title 55; Title 56; Title 63; Title 68 and Title 71.
