Local Education Agencies - As enacted, revises certain enrollment, attendance, individualized education program, and resident requirements for certain education funding to follow a student who is admitted to a state-licensed or out-of-state mental health facility from the student's LEA to the facility. - Amends TCA Title 49.

This law ensures that public school funding continues to follow students who are admitted to state-licensed or out-of-state mental health facilities. To qualify for this funding, the student must have been enrolled in a Tennessee public school right before admission, and their parents or guardians must live in Tennessee. The change applies to the 2024-2025 school year and all future years, allowing local school districts to receive money for these students even while they are in residential care.
