Criminal Offenses - As enacted, increases the penalty for the offense of threatening to commit an act of mass violence on school property or at a school-related activity from a Class A misdemeanor to a Class E felony. - Amends TCA Title 39.

This bill increases the penalty for threatening to commit mass violence on school property or during school-related activities in Tennessee. Under the new law, such threats are classified as a Class E felony rather than a Class A misdemeanor. The change applies only to offenses committed on or after July 1, 2024.
