Regional Authorities and Special Districts - As enacted, authorizes an industrial development corporation created by a housing opportunity county or by a municipality within the boundaries of the housing opportunity county or jointly by any combination of such entities to construct and install public infrastructure for qualified residential developments or contract with a private party for the construction and installation of such public infrastructure, and to accept and make certain loans and grants relative to such purposes. - Amends TCA Title 5; Title 6; Title 7; Title 13 and Title 48.
This bill updates how industrial development corporations in housing opportunity counties must share information about their projects. It requires these entities to publish specific details on their official websites instead of distributing them only through traditional printed materials. The change applies to corporations formed by counties, municipalities, or groups of these local governments to build infrastructure for residential developments. By moving information online, the legislation aims to make project details more accessible to the public.
