establish provisions for eligibility in the child care assistance program for certain child care employees.

New eligibility provision excludes earned and unearned income of child care employees working for licensed day care programs, day care centers, group family day care homes, or registered family day care homes.

Employees must work at least 30 hours per week at the child care center, home, or program to qualify for the income exclusion.

Household income must not exceed 300% of the federal poverty level for the employee to qualify for the income exclusion.

Added new subsection (11) to § 28-1-61 allowing the secretary of social services to adopt additional standards necessary for program administration and federal funding compliance.
