An Act amending the act of May 17, 1921 (P.L.682, No.284), known as The Insurance Company Law of 1921, in benefits for alcohol abuse and dependence, further providing for definitions, for inpatient detoxification, for nonhospital residential alcohol or other drug services, for outpatient alcohol or other drug services and for rules and regulations; and making editorial changes.

Added mandatory coverage for inpatient detoxification, non-hospital residential care, and outpatient alcohol or drug services under group health policies.

Introduced new definitions for 'Alcohol or Drug Abuse', 'Detoxification', 'Inpatient Care', 'Non-Hospital Facility', 'Non-Hospital Residential Care', 'Outpatient Care', and 'Partial Hospitalization'.

Updated the definition of 'Fraternal Benefit Society' to include entities holding a current certificate of authority under the Fraternal Benefit Societies Code.

Clarified the definition of 'Employers' Mutual Liability Insurance Association' to include associations formed under the Workers' Compensation Act.

Expanded the Long-Term Care Partnership Program to include additional entities beyond just the Department of Public Welfare Human Services.
