An Act amending the act of June 2, 1915 (P.L.736, No.338), known as the Workers' Compensation Act, in liability and compensation, further providing for computation of benefits.

Employers or insurers must provide written notice to undertakers regarding the responsibility to refund excess money and the order of succession for dependents.

Undertakers must provide an itemized accounting of burial expenses and obtain a notarized acknowledgment from the recipient before issuing refunds.

A dispute resolution process was added allowing petitions to a Workers' Compensation Judge after 60 days, with authority to impose penalties for violations.

The Workers' Compensation Advisory Council must review the burial benefit every five years and report findings to the General Assembly by July 1, 2031, and subsequent five-year intervals.

The list of bill sponsors was updated to include new representatives and added the Senate Labor and Industry Committee chairperson as a recipient of the periodic review reports.
