An Act amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, in terms and courses of study, repealing provisions relating to Holocaust, genocide and human rights violations instruction and providing for Holocaust, genocide and human rights violations instruction required.

This bill amends the Public School Code of 1949 to change Holocaust, genocide, and human rights education from optional to mandatory for Pennsylvania public schools. It requires school districts to integrate this instruction into social studies and language arts courses by the 2025-2026 school year, with the Department of Education providing curriculum guidelines and teacher training. The legislation also mandates a study to assess current teaching practices and establishes a rule requiring all schools to offer the instruction if fewer than ninety percent currently do so.
