Establishes standards for expansion of state airport on land zoned for exclusive farm use. Directs Oregon Homeland Security Council to prioritize state airports for resiliency investments.
Allows certain employers to permit employees to work more than 60 hours in one workweek to cover for employee absences. Allows certain employers to request or permit employees to work more than 60 hours in one workweek to account for sporadic increases in product demand. Exempts employees performing maintenance activities from restrictions on maximum workweek hours. Clarifies beginning of workweek for purposes of calculating weekly hours worked. Prohibits retail pet store from selling or offering to sell dog other than dog acquired from animal shelter, humane society, dog control district or nonprofit corporation that provides rescue services. Imposes record keeping and signage requirements regarding dogs sold or offered for sale by retail pet store. Makes prohibited sale or offer to sell violation punishable by maximum of $500 fine.
Creates Task Force on Public Assistance Reform to study steps taken in Maine and Kansas to reduce public assistance expenditures. Directs task force to report findings, including recommendations for legislative changes, to interim committees of Legislative Assembly related to human services by September 15, 2019.
