Relating to a transit funding task force; declaring an emergency.
What changed between versions
The total number of task force members increased from 21 to 22, adding a new nonvoting representative from the Department of Transportation.
The list of representative categories was reorganized and simplified. Some specific categories like tribal transit providers and workers' unions were removed, while new categories for county governments and smaller employers were added.
Appointment authority shifted from the Governor to legislative leadership. Senate and House leadership now appoint their own nonvoting members instead of the Governor.
The President of the Senate and Speaker of the House now jointly select the chair and vice chair, rather than the Governor making these selections alone.
The deadline for the task force to submit its report was changed from December 15, 2026 to December 1, 2026.
