Relating to individuals with intellectual disabilities; declaring an emergency.

Digest: The Act repeals the statutes that allowed a person to be ordered by a court to stay in a facility against their will on the basis of having an IDD. Repeals statutes authorizing the involuntary commitment of an individual based on an intellectual disability. Prohibits a public body from denying services related to mental illness on the basis that the individual seeking services also has an intellectual disability. Becomes operative on January 1, 2026. Declares an emergency, effective on passage.
