Summary
] Expands requirements for the passenger rail plan. Directs the Department of Transportation to submit quarterly reports on the performance of passenger rail to the Joint Committee on Transportation. Directs the Department of Transportation to work with the Washington State Department of Transportation and the British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure to develop plans to operate and fund rail transportation. Directs the Department of Transportation to submit biennial reports on plans and shared regional approach to rail to the [ interim committees of ] Legislative Assembly [ related to transportation ]. Allows the Department of Transportation to enter into agreements with the Washington State Department of Transportation and others to collaborate on developing shared objectives for rail. Takes effect on the 91st day following adjournment sine die.
