Digest: Takes away the cap on the amount of state moneys that a school district may receive for a student who is a child with a disability. Allows a school district to receive more state moneys for a student who is homeless. Changes law on July 1, 2024. (Flesch Readability Score: 64.9). Removes the percentage cap on the amount of moneys that are distributed from the State School Fund to school districts for students eligible for special education as children with disabilities. Provides additional weight for students who are homeless for purposes of calculating distributions of State School Fund moneys to school districts. Takes effect July 1, 2024.
