Relating to public safety; and declaring an emergency.

Directs Department of Public Safety Standards and Training to study issues relating to public safety and report on results of study to appropriate committee or interim committee of Legislative Assembly no later than September 15, 2023. ] Directs Department of Corrections, in cooperation with Oregon Criminal Justice Commission, to establish pilot program to provide legal services that assist adults in custody who are serving sentences at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility. Directs commission to grant funds to Oregon Justice Resource Center for purposes of program. Directs commission and center to evaluate program and report to interim committee of Legislative Assembly related to corrections not later than September 15, 2023. Sunsets December 31, 2024. Declares emergency, effective on passage.
