Relating to receiving credit for advanced placement performance.
Summary
Requires public institutions of higher education to provide credit to each student who receives grade on advanced placement examinations indicating student is fully qualified to receive credit. Requires public institutions of higher education to award credit for grade of three, four or five received on advanced placement (AP) exam unless institution notifies Higher Education Coordinating Commission that institution considers grade of higher than three on identified exams to be necessary to receive credit. Requires commission to convene committee upon notification by institution to make final determination, based on justification provided by institution, on whether institution may require score of higher than three on AP exam for student to receive academic credit. Requires committee to submit report to committees of Legislative Assembly relating to higher education if committee agrees with institution's justification.
