SB 2031 requires all meat products sold at retail in Oklahoma (including beef, pork, poultry, and lamb) to display their country of origin, defined as where the animal was born, raised, and slaughtered. This applies to retailers selling directly to consumers, such as grocery stores and butchers. The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry will create enforcement rules, including penalties for noncompliant retailers who fail to label products correctly. The law takes effect November 1, 2026.
