HB 4126 protects property owners from lawsuits when dirt bike participants are injured by normal risks of the activity, such as terrain changes, crashes, or equipment failure due to operator error. It requires participants to assume these "inherent risks" and bars claims against property owners for such injuries. However, owners remain liable for intentional harm, gross negligence, providing unsafe equipment, or other reckless conduct. The law applies to private property use (like trails or rental sites) but excludes workplace injuries and specific misconduct cases. It takes effect November 1, 2026.
