HB 1492 automatically registers Oklahomans to vote when they apply for or renew a driver's license or state ID through Service Oklahoma. It also gives applicants the option to sign up for text message reminders about upcoming elections, absentee ballot deadlines, and the Sunday before statewide elections. The State Election Board will send these reminders using phone numbers provided by applicants through Service Oklahoma. The bill takes effect November 1, 2025.
