SB 608 creates the Oklahoma Wrecker and Towing Advisory Board within the Department of Public Safety to advise state agencies on industry rules and safety. The board, composed of seven members (five from the towing industry and two from repossession/insurance appointed by state agencies), will develop recommendations to improve efficiency and safety in towing operations. It serves in an advisory role to the Department of Public Safety and Corporation Commission, focusing on policy development rather than enforcement. The board becomes effective November 1, 2025.
